Your Questions, Answered

  • Honestly… not much.

You don’t need to rehearse or organize your thoughts perfectly. If something feels important to bring, you can. If not, we’ll figure it out together.

Showing up as you are is more than enough.

  • This is one of the most common worries.

    You can start anywhere.
What’s been on your mind lately, something that happened this week, or even “I have no idea where to start.”

We’ll gently find our way into what matters and we will formulate our treatment plan from there.

  • I primarily work with people who feel stuck in anxiety, overthinking, and emotional overwhelm.

Often, they’re thoughtful, self-aware, and used to carrying a lot internally… even if it doesn’t look that way on the outside.

  • This depends on your specific plan.

I can provide receipts for reimbursement, and you can check with your provider to see what’s covered under your benefits.

I hold the CCC (Canadian Certified Counsellor) registration.

  • We’ll find a time that works for you and book sessions in a way that feels manageable and supportive.

Some people prefer a consistent weekly time, others need more flexibility, we can figure out what fits best for you.

My working hours are between 10am-4pm Monday to Friday. My last session usually starts at 2:30 and ends at 3:30, so that I can catch up on my notes before I hit the road.

  • If something falls outside of what I’m best suited to support, I’ll be honest about that.

My priority is making sure you get the care that actually helps, even if that means connecting you with someone else.

  • Fit matters more than people think.

The first few sessions are as much for you to get a feel for me and our therapeutic relationship and vibe as they are for us to start the work.

You might notice feeling a bit more at ease, understood, or like things are starting to make sense in a new way. And when you know, you know.

  • We’ll take our time.

I’ll get to know you, what’s been going on, and what you’re hoping for. We’ll also start gently exploring patterns and what might be underneath them.

There’s no pressure to share everything right away. I will always ask at the start of sessions if there is anything you’d like to prioritize for our time together in that session.

At the end we can explore what stood out the most for us. And our treatment plan will unfold from there. We will plan it together. We’re a team.

  • Not in a rigid, “you must complete this” kind of way.

Sometimes I might suggest small things to notice or try between sessions, but it’s always collaborative and optional.

With your permission, I might send you additional resources and information through email between sessions.

  • That’s something we go at your pace with.

We’ll pay attention to your nervous system and make sure things feel manageable. You won’t be pushed to go further than what feels okay.

Feeling a bit emotional can be part of the process, but you won’t be left alone in it.

Overwhelm is also something we can work with. Get to know. And build a relationship with.

  • A mix, usually.

Something therapy-related that makes me think… currently its “Women are Angry” by Jennifer Cox and something completely unrelated that lets my brain switch off... not really xD is “You Were Born For This” by Chani Nicholas

  • Something familiar, easy to watch, and not emotionally demanding.

The kind of show where you already know what’s going to happen… and that’s the point.

Friends. The Office, Love is Blind, Workin Moms, love me some standup comedy

  • Not at all.

If anything, we’ll get curious about that part of you. Overthinking usually has a good reason for being there.

  • Yes.

You don’t need to have it together before you come in. That’s kind of the point! All parts of you are welcome, even the messy ones.

  • Then you’re in the right place.

We’ll slow things down, make sense of it together, and help it feel a little less overwhelming.

  • I’m human, too.

I’ve done my own work and continue to, but I don’t expect myself (or you) to have everything perfectly figured out.

What I do bring is training, experience, and a genuine ability to sit with you in whatever’s going on. But I still sometimes spend a bit too much or eat a bit too much or forget to put fuel in the car.

  • Consultations are always free. They last 20-30 minutes.

Sessions cost $160 for 50-60 minutes of dedicated you-time.
